Hardieboard Siding
One of my toughest jobs to date. Wrapping this custom home in cement siding, trim boards, cement soffit, custom metal parapet walls and fascia, sealed and touched up to perfection. Rocky Mountain High at 32ft off the ground!

Window Well
Here we replaced a very deep 5 ft. egress window well. The old wood well had collapsed due to recent storms, so we hand dug it back out, and brought the home up to code with this spec metal well.

Everything you see...
Pictured here putting the final touches on a full home resto after the hail destroyed much of 3 sides of the home. We did the siding, roof, gutters, fascia, AND the fence on this one.

Custom Fence
Commissioned in the Barnstormers neighborhood with strict guidelines on how it must be constructed, this fence measured 290 feet, with 2 gates, and all dog-proof!

Concrete
Pouring a set of pyramid steps to give this home a real wow factor on the front door. Pictured here with James Moore of Calicol Concrete in Colorado Springs

Chicken Coops
Pictured here is a 6 hen coop commissioned by my partner which currently resides in our back yard. Roofed in metal and sided in reclaimed barn wood, 4 nesting boxes with trap doors, roosting bars, and a full function vinyl window with screen to keep them cool!

Crown Molding
First I troweled this bathroom in a deep gray-green Venetian Plaster, sealed it, and then finished the room with a clean white crown molding to match the baseboards. The result was stunning as well as durable.

They had to come down
Trimmed both trunks of this 80ft cottonwood down to a manageable height. The trees were dropping big limbs in the high winds, and the owners were concerned for their safety. Trees could not be felled by normal methods due to close proximity of the homes and power lines. I removed the top 40ft. piece by piece, and safely disposed of it.

Fence Stain
Sealed in a redwood stain from Home Depot. Completely revived the entire fence, front and back. Not always necessary to replace!

Don't try this at home...

Custom Shutters
Crafted as requested by the home owners to match their front door.

Custom Shutters
Gives the house some real character!

About to get busy
Working in the winter! All loaded up to replace windows, siding, and fascia on 2 sides of a home due to hail damage.

Rotten Threshold
Completely dug out all the rotting wood on a very old door frame, replaced all the wood, and re-wrapped the frame in clean white aluminum to prevent further water infiltration

Metal Wrap
The end result

Shower hardware replacement
Main level shower poured water out from behind the knobs, needed the whole valve assembly replaced. Every other contractor informed the home owner they would have to rip through the tile in the shower, which was beautiful! We gained access by opening a square through the back side of the kitchen cupboards on the other side of the wall. Sweated in a new valve assembly, and viola! Leak fixed.

Vinyl Siding
Completely removed and replaced every stick of vinyl siding on this home which was badly damaged by hail. Then went around and replaced the window wraps on many of the windows and doors as well!

Vinyl over siding
Completely re-wrapped this home in fresh vinyl siding, right over top of the old decaying masonite! First the home was wrapped in a vapor barrier, then insulated to remove irregularities, then wrapped in a beautiful forest green.

Vinyl over siding
Finished product!

Custom Shed
This home owner wanted to maximize his VERY steep back yard space. He had a huge retaining wall put in, with space cut out for a complex shed design that would utilize every square inch. I worked with him for 2 months to design and build his dream shed with a loft for the kids, removable stairs, “trap door” in the side (with a keyed lock!) and a fully powered automatic garage door. The end result is the envy of the neighborhood.

Roofing Solutions
This large Victorian near downtown Colo Springs had a poorly installed wooden deck screwed directly to a flat metal roof. In high rains the owners noticed water dripping inside the home and called me. I was able to determine the source of the leak, and created a plan to seal the roof for good.

Roofing Solutions
We removed the old wood deck, extracted the hundreds of screws, scrubbed the whole surface, and filled each and every hole with silicone before fully coating the roof with a commercial grade roof sealant. No more leak!

Shed Kit
This shed arrived in a box on the curb the day before.

Shower Leak Fix
This time I got to work in a crawl space behind the wall! Always wear your protective gear when dealing with insulation.

Deck
This family wanted a nice 12x12 space off their back slider. When I arrived it was just dirt and rocks. I poured 5 concrete piers and mounted the deck frame to that sturdy surface.

Deck
Topped in a dark brown composite decking, with a step down that wraps around the whole deck.

Metal Fabrication
Custom metal installation on top of a parapet wall. This metal has 9 planes to be shaped and bent by hand to fit around this 90 degree corner, with a cut out for the metal beam. They said it couldn’t be done…

Metal Fabrication
Shown from the other side. Wrapped and water tight.

Deck Repair
These home owners hit a brick wall during the sale when their home inspection failed due to unsafe conditions on their back deck. They called several companies, all of which recommended full replacement at a cost of $10,000 or more. In desperation their real estate agent called me, and I gave the situation a closer look…

Deck Repair
I was able to identify the specific reasons the deck failed safety inspection, and came up with a plan to solve these issues.

Deck Repair
The end result was a strong, safe deck. It passed the inspection, and the home sold without another hitch. Oh.. and I did it for about a fifth of the cost of the other guys.

Porch Cover
Day one, just a pile of rough-sawn Cedar beams…

Porch Cover
Beginning to take shape. Notice the cover does not touch the home. This was to avoid warranty issues with the new home build. This structure is free standing and built to withstand the tremendous winds in Peyton, CO.

Porch Cover
Roofed in a charcoal gray standing seam metal roofing system.

Porch Cover
Custom raw cedar caps to give detail and depth to the posts, and the home owner requested a spot to set drinks, so we created some octagonal tables and built them into the posts on 2 corners. High enough to save the wine glasses from happy dog tails wagging.

Porch Cover
This was a special project to me and really put my skills to the test. Included free standing structure building, wind-proofing, metal roofing, tongue and groove beetle-kill pine ceiling, and fully powered with outlets and 3 hanging lamps on a dimmer. The result is a breathtaking patio area that will last for decades.

Podcast studio
These clients had a space that needed sound dampening for use as a live podcast studio. Dampening panels and bass traps were fabricated and installed. Four panes of insulated glass were also installed to seal the space. What a fun project!

Pergola Re-Stain
This pergola really stretched my skills. The paint on the whole thing was disintegrating due to a catastrophic hail storm. The structure had to be hand scraped, and masked in a giant bubble to stop overspray. We sprayed 2-3 coats on every surface, and the result left the whole porch looking like new.

Fence Repair/Rebuild
This fence was an incredible challenge. Roots, trees, and tons of Boulder boulders fought us every step of the way. In the end tenacity won the day as we chipped, chopped, and dug our way through 23 new fence posts.

Racoons!
The critters were out in force this fall chewing and digging through soft rubber on roofs all over Boulder. Here is one example of the damage left behind. We replaced and re-roofed over 20 vents this season due to critter damage.

Deck repair and restain
Pictured is the final product after repairing several areas, including replacement of the entire handrail. Then we restained it in 2 colors and the result was as beautiful as it was eye catching. A great showcase for this home.

Regulatory Upgrade: Handrails
This beautiful home was surrounded by several complex decks built in the early 2000’s. New rental insurance required handrails to be added to the whole exterior. Original style and wood type was matched, the result was the decks looking great, and meeting all regulations. Completed in 1 day to squeeze it in before tenants took occupancy!

Marble Countertop
Fabricated a steel “floating” frame and topped with Carrera Marble to create a spot for keys in an entry way to this high-end home.

Whole House Hardie Board Re-side
My largest project to date. Completely removed and replaced every stick of siding, soffit, facia, and even some window trims on this 5,300 sqft home.

Whole House Hardie Board Re-side
In progress

Whole House Hardie Board
The final product is breathtaking! This pre-finished cement board never requires paint, caulk, or maintenance of any kind. For life. this home will look just as vibrant 50 years from now, and is the highest hail resistance of any product on the market. Even better than stucco!

Custom Metal Wrapped Facia
This roll formed sheet metal facia is truly a dying art. To date I know of only one other tradesman who does this work. If you have metal on your home, I am one of the last people on earth who can fix it.

Penofin Oil Stain
Rejuvenate faded exterior wood with a fresh coat of oil stain. It not only improves the appearance, but also protects wood from the harsh high elevation sun. UV radiation breaks down normal exterior materials more quickly here in the rockies.

Air BnB Renovation
This savvy home owner converted her basement into a guest suite. She wanted to cater to higher end clientele and commissioned me to put up high-end rustic reclaimed wood to make this accent wall really pop.

Air BnB Renovation
The result was gorgeous, and we went on to apply this finish to several other areas of the suite.

High Country deck re-paint
This home at nearly 8,000 is equipped with 3 large exterior decks painted in a dull gray and showing signs of wear. A fresh 2 coats of paint really made the home stand out again. The owners chose a beautiful forest green which really added dimension to the home.

Front Door Restoration
This entry way was painted in a peeling boring beige. The owners and I worked out this fresh color statement of high gloss candy apple red, with a dark bronze trim to match the rest of the home. The result is durable and eye catching.
